About

Hello and welcome to this section of the site where we introduce ourselves.

Fr. Christopher Plant

I am Reverend Christopher Plant. The Catholic faithful call me “Father Christopher.” In May of 2008 I was ordained by Archbishop Daniel Cardinal DiNardo into the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston as a Roman Catholic priest.  Since then, I have been very fortunate to engage in ministry in the parishes of Sacred Heart Church in Conroe, my first parish, St. Thomas More Parish in Houston, and now Resurrection Church as Pastor.

The greatest blessing of the priesthood has been a renewed friendship and closeness to Christ and to His people. I have also enjoyed immensely the preaching and teaching that is so central to my role.

When I am not doing ministry I am enjoying time with my family, with my animals (a cat, a tortoise, and fish), and I also enjoy reading and blogging.  Yes, I am doing this during my free time. What can I say, truth and conversations about the truth are my passion. That’s why I created this website.

My most influential authors are Jeremiah, the Psalmist, John the Evangelist, Pope Benedict XVI, Fr. Richard John Neuhaus, Jacque Maritain, Martin Heidegger, and St. Thomas Aquinas.  Of course, I read with a passion a whole list of other authors but these I would put on top as sources that I found myself returning to.

The greatest hope I have is to be a faithful priest through whom the Lord accomplishes great things.
